West Angelas Airstrip Surface Upgrade

This project consisted of pavement rehabilitation works to the existing West Angelas airstrip. Yurala/Multiplant Joint Venture submitted a non-conforming tender bid which was taken up by the Client, this bid included the cement modification of the entire existing pavement, not just sections, to strengthen the runway including turning nodes, taxiway and apron. Works also included prime, two coat sealing, sand emulsion sealing and line marking. The works were completed within the 4-week shut down period provided by the Client.
